Dumpster Rental FAQ for Fresno & Clovis

Everything you need to know before you rent.

C&W Enterprises specializes in roll-off dumpster, bin, and container rentals for residential, commercial, and construction projects in Fresno and Clovis, CA. We also provide compactor hauling services for commercial properties
A roll-off dumpster is a large, open-top container used for disposing of debris from construction, renovations, cleanouts, and large-scale waste removal projects. It is delivered to your location and picked up once filled.
Junk removal services involve a team coming to your location, collecting your unwanted items or debris, and hauling them away for you. It’s a full-service option where you don’t have to load anything yourself. Roll-off dumpster rentals, on the other hand, provide you with a large container that you fill up with waste at your own pace. Once it’s full, C&W Enterprises picks it up and disposes of the materials for you. Roll-off dumpster rentals are typically more affordable since you handle the loading, making it ideal for projects that generate a lot of debris over time.
C&W Enterprises offers a variety of dumpster sizes to meet the needs of different projects. We have options ranging from 10 to 40 cubic yards. However, we do not offer mini dumpsters.
Once you book a dumpster, we deliver it to your location, you fill it up with debris, and we return to pick it up at the agreed-upon time, handling the disposal of the waste.
Our transparent pricing includes the delivery, pickup, and disposal of materials. There are no hidden fees.

In Fresno, you will need a permit from the City of Fresno to place a dumpster on a public street or right-of-way. However, no permit is required if the dumpster is placed on private property, like a driveway. If your property is under the jurisdiction of a homeowners association (HOA), you should obtain permission from the HOA before placing a dumpster. Permits can be applied for online or in person through the city’s public works department, and most are approved within 24 hours. In Clovis, you can apply for a permit through the City of Clovis’s Customer Self Service (CSS) portal, which allows you to submit documents, pay invoices, and schedule inspections. Similarly, if you’re in a community governed by an HOA, ensure that you follow their rules or obtain necessary approvals. Both cities have regulations to ensure waste is handled properly, and some items like tires, hazardous materials, or toxic chemicals are prohibited from being disposed of in dumpsters. For further details, including special waste permits in Fresno County, such as Solid Waste Facility Permits or agreements for large waste haulers, you may need to contact the local Solid Waste Local Enforcement Agency (LEA).
Roll-off dumpsters need adequate space for delivery and pickup. A typical driveway or construction site should be sufficient, but our team can advise on the exact space requirements for your chosen size.
Yes, if you fill the dumpster sooner than expected, you can call us for an early pickup or schedule additional pickups if your project generates more waste.
Yes, at C&W Enterprises, we prioritize environmentally responsible waste disposal. We partner with our sister company, Clovis Recycling Center, to ensure that all recyclable materials are properly processed and diverted from landfills. Whenever possible, materials such as metal, cardboard, wood, and other recyclables are sorted and sent to the Clovis Recycling Center for recycling, supporting our commitment to sustainability.
We understand it can be easy to underestimate the amount of materials you need to dump, and this can sometimes result in more debris than space available. We also get the tendency to try and fit as much as humanly possible into the dumpster. While we understand this may happen, overfilling the dumpster can cause a few issues. It can make it unsafe for transport, lead to debris spilling out during pickup, and even result in damage to property or public areas. Additionally, safety regulations require us to keep the load within certain limits. Because of these risks, overfilling may result in extra charges or the need for a second dumpster, which could delay your project. To avoid this, it’s best to stick to the fill line marked on the dumpster. If you’re unsure whether your materials will fit, we’re happy to help you choose the right dumpster size from the start. We’re here to make sure your rental experience is as smooth and cost-effective as possible!
